Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute is seeking a Payments Clerk to post all insurance and patient payments promptly and accurately. You will balance daily tasks between the practice management system and bank records, and operate across multiple software platforms to ensure correct cash flow.

This role requires attention to detail, the ability to manage high transaction volumes, and flexibility in hours to meet deadlines in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years’ experience in processing cash and insurance payment transactions in a medical setting or related financial background.
• Understanding of insurance payment processes and how to read an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) preferred.
• Ability to process a large amount of transactions with a high degree of accuracy.
• Proficient in working with figures and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and to work flexible hours to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Position Summary: Post all payments from insurance carriers and patients in an accurate and timely manner.
• Balance daily work between practice management system and bank report.
• Work with multiple software systems and websites.
