The American Red Cross is seeking a Therapeutic and Cellular Solutions Medical Director to lead regulated cellular therapies programs and provide expert clinical oversight. This remote role works with Eastern Time teams and supports program development, regulatory compliance, and external partnerships.

Ideal candidates hold an MD/DO with board certification in Transfusion Medicine or Hematology/Oncology, with 5+ years in cell therapy and experience with FACT/AABB standards.

Formación

• MD/DO with Board Certification in Transfusion Medicine or Hematology/Oncology.
• Experience leading or overseeing cellular therapy programs is preferred.
• Knowledge of FACT accreditation and AABB standards is required or highly desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Direct medical strategy and operations for regulated cellular therapies, including policy development for collection, storage, and infusion.
• Lead medical office engagement with Therapeutic Apheresis and Cellular Therapeutics programs across internal teams and biotech partners.
• Oversee donor eligibility, product specifications, and trial alignment; liaise with hospital leadership and regional/national committees.
• Provide CLIA laboratory oversight as applicable and contribute to policy/procedure development for donor management and product investigations.
