Job summary

Omega Healthcare Management Services is seeking an experienced Medical Coder to work remotely from home in Florida. You will abstract, code, and sequence data from inpatient, outpatient, and professional fee records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

The role requires AHIMA/AAPC certification, EPIC experience, and 2–4 years of production coding in acute care and pro-fee. This is a full-time, remote position with standard hours and minimal travel.

Qualifications

• Completion of an AAPC or AHIMA-approved Coding Certificate Program.
• Two to four years of post-certification, production coding experience in acute care and ProFee (Professional Fee).
• EPIC experience required.

Responsibilities

• Abstract and code inpatient, outpatient, ER, pro fee, and clinical records.
• Assign principal and secondary diagnoses and procedures with correct sequencing.
• Ensure codes align with DRG/APC reimbursement and guidelines.
• Maintain 95% quality rating and productivity targets.
• Comply with HIPAA and company policies.
