Job summary

Tampa Family Health Centers, Inc. is seeking a Medical Coding Lead (Coding Supervisor) to oversee coding staff, ensure accurate charge capture, and support documentation improvement. Remote with occasional onsite travel in Tampa, FL.

The role collaborates with providers and revenue cycle leadership to optimize reimbursement while maintaining HIPAA compliance and payer requirements. A CPC or equivalent certification and 3–5 years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a medical coding program.
• CPC (AAPC) or equivalent certification required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee coding staff workflow, productivity, and accuracy.
• Review and validate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding for completeness and compliance.
• Identify coding errors and documentation gaps and implement corrective actions.
• Provide education and guidance to coding staff and providers.
• Support coding-related questions and provider documentation queries.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, payer guidelines, and TFHC policies.
