Job summary

Datavant is seeking a Profee Auditing & Education Specialist to address coding quality, compliance assessments, external payer reviews, coding education, interim coding management, and coding workflow operations reviews. This role is fully remote with a flexible schedule, allowing you to help shape the future of healthcare from your own workspace!

What you will do includes auditing professional fee coding using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers, delivering coder education programs,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Professional Fee coding and/or auditing with majority in auditing.
• 3+ years of Professional Fee education creation and presentation.
• Multi-Specialty coding/auditing experience.
• CPC certification required.
• CPMA preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote).
• Maintain 95% accuracy rate.
• Experience with EMR systems such as Epic and Cerner.

Responsibilities

• Performs professional fee coding audits of medical records using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers.
• Provides detailed rationale for changes with references and documentation locations.
• Organizes multiple cases concurrently to maintain workflow and resolution.
• Develops and delivers virtual coder education programs and materials.
• Identifies coding trends and knowledge gaps; develops targeted educational content.
• Collaborates with leadership to design and maintain educational materials and tools.
• Acts as a subject matter expert presenting coding and compliance topics to coders and providers.
• Maintains professional behavior and ethics in all interactions.
• Keeps abreast of regulatory changes.
