Job summary

Managed Resources, Inc. is seeking a ProFee E/M Clinic Coder to code CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM and modifiers from medical records in a remote environment. The role involves in-depth chart reviews and providing coding feedback to improve client revenue integrity.

The candidate should have at least five years of recent experience in E/M, CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding, with strong knowledge of coding rules and excellent communication skills. Athena/Meditech experience is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Five years’ recent experience abstracting CPT, E/M, HCPCS and ICD-10-CM codes from provider documentation.
• Extensive knowledge of medical terminology and coding rules/regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with EMR systems (Athena, Meditech preferred).

Responsibilities

• Abstract all E/M, CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM, modifiers, units from the medical record documentation.
• Enter data into client software and/or Excel reports accurately.
• Evaluate physician documentation quality for quality improvement measures.
• Perform accurate coding using applicable guidelines and client protocols.
• Communicate with clients and providers for coding clarifications and missing documentation.
• Coordinate with Project Manager on scheduling changes and workload.
• Track time accurately in the timekeeping system and ensure HIPAA compliance.
