Job summary

You will identify pertinent facts and code to the correct CPT/ICD-10, collaborating with physicians to obtain signatures and resolve unsigned dates of service. The role involves supporting coders and staff on terminology and policy interpretation, educating physicians on documentation requirements, and preparing case reports for

Qualifications

• Must have one of the coding credentials: AHIMA (CCA/CCS/CCS-P) or AAPC (CPC and related credentials).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding is preferred.
• Two years' healthcare AR experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review documentation to identify facts for diagnoses and procedures.
• Code evaluations and management to CPT; code diagnoses to ICD-10.
• Meet with physicians to review documentation and secure signatures.
• Assist coders and staff with terminology and policy interpretation.
• Help educate physicians on documentation requirements.
• Prepare case reports and initiate follow-up for billing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
