Job summary

Qualifications

• One of the AHIMA or AAPC coding credentials is required or preferred.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding standards.
• Experience interpreting clinical documentation for billing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review documentation to select comprehensive diagnoses and procedures for billing.
• Code evaluation and management to CPT; map diagnoses to ICD-10 codes.
• Meet with physicians to review documentation and obtain signatures.
• Assist with coding policy interpretation and staff support.
• Support physician awareness of documentation requirements and billing follow-up.
