Job summary

Minneola Healthcare is seeking a Clinic Professional Coder to accurately review, assign, and validate ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and E/M codes for compliant billing. You will advise providers and staff on coding guidelines and reimbursement regulations while supporting charge capture opportunities.

Ideal candidates have experience coding for Rural Health Clinics, Emergency Departments, and Ambulatory Surgery, with the ability to work remotely and maintain HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience coding professional fees for Rural Health Clinics, Emergency Departments, and Ambulatory Surgery services.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
• Current AHIMA or AAPC certification preferred; in lieu of certification may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Review clinical documentation to assign ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes, appropriate E/M levels, CPT procedure codes, and HCPCS Level II codes.
• Code and bill professional charges for RHC, Ambulatory Surgery, and Emergency Room services.
• Interpret medical record documentation and apply appropriate coding guidelines.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer guidelines.
• Collaborate with billing staff and external vendors to resolve coding and billing issues.
• Review and respond to Revenue Cycle work queue items needing coding clarification or charge corrections.
• Perform other duties to support organizational objectives.
