UofL Health, Inc. is seeking a Coder I for a fully remote role based in Ohio. The coder will abstract patient data and assign CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes to ensure accurate reimbursement, following EM guidelines and payer rules.

Responsibilities include reviewing denials, completing charges in queues, and ensuring compliance with CMS Teaching Physician Rules and HIPAA. Collaboration with providers and management is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–4 years physician coding experience preferred.
• CPC and CCS/CCS-P/CCA certifications required.

Responsabilités

• Abstract information from provider notes and assign CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes with modifiers.
• Ensure codes align with guidelines and payer requirements.
• Review and resolve coding denials.
• Complete charges in work queues promptly.
• Maintain documentation per EM guidelines and CMS Teaching Physician Rules.
• Provide input on weak areas and report trends to management.
