Qualifications

• Active coding credentials (AHIMA CCS or AAPC CPC/CIC)

• Experience across acute care, outpatient, ED, or physician practice
• Knowledge of Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting

Responsibilities

• Review encounter notes, operative reports, labs, and discharge summaries
• Assign ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS codes from documented information
• Identify principal and secondary diagnoses and apply modifiers
• Flag documentation gaps and query opportunities while preserving data integrity
• Provide feedback on complex coding cases and coding guidelines
