Virtua Health seeks a Medical Billing/Coding Specialist to abstract clinical information and assign CPT-4 and ICD-10 codes from medical records. You will support outpatient E/M services and procedures, ensuring compliance with guidelines.

Requirements include two years coding experience, CPC certification, and knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology; a High School Diploma or GED is required. Position offers 100% remote or on-site options.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years records coding experience.
• CPC (Certified Professional Coder) certified.
• Knowledge of Anatomy & Physiology and medical terminology.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Abstract billing for outpatient E/M codes and CPT-4/ICD-10 codes from provider documentation.
• Research coding/billing issues and suggest the best methods with external bodies as needed.
• Analyze medical records to assess coding appropriateness and patterns of potential abuse.
