Bill Review Specialist

Responsible for review, auditing, and data-entry of medical bills for multiple states and lines of business.

• Fully remote position after 1-2-week onsite training. Equipment is provided (*Must be commutable to Glen Allen, VA*)
• Pay: $20/hr
• Pay cycle: weekly | Medical, Dental & Vision benefits offered
• Training Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8-hour shift between 8:00am - 5:00pm EST. Fully onsite during the first week. Must be commutable to Glen Allen, VA
• Full-time schedule: Monday - Friday | 7:00am - 3:30pm or 8:00am - 4:30pm EST. Flexibility to choose either shift as long as consistent.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Audit medical bills to ensure appropriateness and adherence to State Fee Schedules, customer guidelines, and PPO discounts
• Knowledge of Fee Schedule and operation of computer terminals
• Consult reference materials as needed during auditing
• Maintain regular and consistent attendance
• Comply with safety rules and regulations, including the Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP)
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Knowledge of medical terminology, workers' compensation billing guidelines, and fee schedules
• Knowledge of CPT/ICD/HCPCS coding
• Knowledge of UBO4/DWC-9/DWC-10 and CMS 1500 forms preferred
• Strong computer/typing skills — 10,000+ keystrokes per hour preferred
• Problem-solving skills and ability to find effective solutions
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Benefits may include:
