Job description

Bill Review Specialist - Responsible for reviewing, auditing, and data-entry of medical bills across multiple states and lines of business.

Work Environment:

• Fully remote after a 1-2 week onsite training period. Equipment is provided. Must be commutable to Glen Allen, VA.
• Training Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8-hour shifts between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm EST. The first week is onsite; subsequent work is remote.
• Full-time schedule: Monday - Friday, with shifts at either 7:00 am - 3:30 pm or 8:00 am - 4:30 pm EST. Flexibility to choose a consistent shift.

Responsibilities:

1. Audit medical bills for accuracy, compliance with State Fee Schedules, customer guidelines, and PPO discounts.
2. Utilize knowledge of Fee Schedules and operate computer terminals effectively.
3. Consult reference materials as needed during auditing.
4. Maintain regular attendance and adhere to safety regulations.
5. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

1. Knowledge of medical terminology, workers' compensation billing guidelines, and fee schedules.
2. Understanding of CPT/ICD/HCPCS coding.
3. Familiarity with UBO4/DWC-9/DWC-10 and CMS 1500 forms is preferred.
4. Strong computer and typing skills, with a preference for 10,000+ keystrokes per hour.
5. Problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
7. High School Diploma or equivalent.

Pay and Benefits:

• Pay range: $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
