Job summary

Raintree Systems, Inc. is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist - Medical Claims to join our fully remote finance team in the United States. You will manage medical claims billing, ensure timely reimbursements, and resolve payer/patient questions.

This role emphasizes accuracy, compliance, and collaboration with billing staff to optimize cash flow for multispecialty therapy providers using our AI-powered EMR platform.

Qualifications

• Experience in Medical Insurance Claims billing preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and Google applications.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide with numbers.
• Strong problem solving and data analysis abilities.
• Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Ensures accurate, compliant, timely billing and reimbursement for multispecialty medical services from insurers and patients.
• Prepare and resubmit clean claims electronically or by paper per payer guidelines.
• Analyze and correct first pass rejected claims for final submission.
• Follow up on claim status with insurance plans.
• Process claim appeals with documentation for carriers.
• Research and recommend account adjustments or write-offs to Manager.
• Identify and report billing trends or discrepancies to management.
• Generate monthly statements for patient balances per EOBs.
• Review delinquent accounts and collect payments.
• Answer patient questions about billing and payments.
• Direct inquiries or complaints to appropriate staff.
