Job summary

BruntWork is seeking an experienced Compliance support specialist for a fully remote role. You will assist the Compliance team in maintaining current laws and guidelines across 50 states related to Medicaid autism ABA regulations, perform audits, coding, and document drafting with timely, professional outputs.

The role entails reviewing Medicaid regulations, state mandates, payer policies, and contracts, plus drafting appeal letters and coding for therapy services.

Qualifications

• Two-year college degree required.
• Two years of US-based medical billing practice experience preferred.
• Experience with provider credentialing, authorization, and reimbursement is a plus.
• Detail oriented with above-average organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to plan and prioritize to meet deadlines.
• Strong reading comprehension and internet navigation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Must have backup power supply and work-from-home setup.

Responsibilities

• Review Medicaid regulations for ABA across all 50 states.
• Review State Autism Insurance Mandates for all 50 states.
• Review state practice laws related to ABA.
• Review payer policies and summarize findings.
• Review payer contracts.
• Audit medical records to ensure services billed are supported by documentation.
• Draft appeal letters to payers in response to audits.
• Code OT, PT, and SLP services.
• Code psychological and developmental testing.
