Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS coding systems.
• FQHC background preferred.
• Insurance follow up proficiency strongly preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a remote setting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Review and scrub medical claims for accuracy and completeness before submission.
• Correct coding denials by analyzing denial reasons and making adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations.
• Collaborate with providers and billing staff to resolve coding issues and improve processes.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding updates and best practices.
• Generate reports on coding denials and trends to identify improvement areas.
• Provide training and support to staff on coding practices and procedures.
