Job summary

BruntWork is hiring a meticulous Medical Biller to process patient data, submit and track insurance claims, and ensure timely payments. The role collaborates with providers and insurers to resolve discrepancies and verify coverage.

Experience in US medical billing or provider credentialing is preferred. The position is a remote Independent Contractor role with perks including permanent work from home, immediate hiring, and a profit-sharing incentive.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years in college or equivalent.
• Backup power supply and backup Internet connection required.
• Detail oriented with above-average organizational skill.
• Able to plan and prioritize to meet deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; communicates clearly and effectively.
• Excellent reading comprehension.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

• Post insurance company payments and/or responses into client systems (electronic, ERA, or paper EOB).
• Daily checks on pending amounts due from carriers and act accordingly.
• Review recent codes of partial and full denials; resubmit with appropriate reasons.
• Prepare appeals to be sent by reimbursement team.
• Report issues to reimbursement team when not resolved timely.
• Identify denials and原因; communicate with carriers to avoid recurrence.
• Check no-response claims with carriers per predefined dates.
• Prepare outstanding amounts and key issues for the reimbursement team.
• Follow up on appeals and claims for reconsiderations.
• Attend daily and weekly reimbursement team meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
