Job summary

Atrium is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our revenue cycle team. This fully remote role requires 2+ years of medical billing experience and proficiency with CPT/ICD-10/HCPCS coding.

You will submit claims, follow up on denials, and monitor accounts receivable to ensure timely reimbursement. Ideal candidates are organized, analytical, and able to work independently in a fast-growing healthcare startup.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of medical billing experience.
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding terminology.
• Experience with commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid billing.
• Familiarity with claim submission, payment posting, and denial management.
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR and medical billing software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit insurance claims accurately and efficiently.
• Review claims for completeness and compliance with payer requirements.
• Follow up on denied, rejected, or unpaid claims.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Post payments and adjustments accurately.
• Monitor accounts receivable and outstanding balances.
• Communicate with insurance carriers regarding claim status and appeals.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits as needed.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
• Assist with reporting and revenue cycle improvement initiatives.
