Job summary

Modena Health is seeking a Medical Biller/Coder to join our growing billing team. This remote role supports allergy, asthma, and immunology services with accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding and timely claims submission.

You will collaborate with clinicians, insurance companies, and patients to verify coding accuracy, resolve billing issues, and maintain compliance with HIPAA and payer requirements. This position offers growth in a tech-enabled, patient-centered practice.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of medical billing and coding experience, preferably in an Allergy & Asthma, Pulmonary, ENT, or specialty physician practice.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and medical terminology.
• Experience with claim submission, payment posting, denial management, and insurance billing.
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and practice management software.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Review provider documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS codes for office visits, procedures, diagnostic testing, and treatments.
• Submit clean claims electronically to insurance carriers.
• Monitor claim status and ensure timely reimbursement.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and participate in internal audits.
• Support coding and reimbursement opportunities while staying compliant.
