Job summary

Planned Parenthood South Atlantic is seeking a Medical Assistant to greet patients, collect patient history, perform clinical tasks, and educate patients on available services. The MA will work closely with clinicians to ensure efficient patient flow, accurate documentation, and adherence to privacy and safety policies.

The role requires strong customer service skills, bilingual English/Spanish is preferred, and a commitment to high-quality reproductive health care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant certification required.
• Washington State MA certification preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and support a positive patient experience.
• Explain services and provide patient education on birth control, STI transmission, and options.
• Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, phlebotomy, injections, specimen processing, and in-house lab processing.
• Maintain privacy and HIPAA compliance; ensure accurate charting in EMR and paper records.
• Assist providers with in-office procedures and clinic operations, including infection control and inventory.
