Job summary

Pscfl is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care under physician direction and to perform essential administrative tasks. The role involves assisting with examinations, immunizations, charting, patient communications, and scheduling within a primary care setting.

Ideal candidates will have MA training or nursing credentials, be bilingual (English/Spanish preferred), and be capable of managing multiple tasks with strong patient service skills.

Qualifications

• Proof of graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Nursing Degree: ASN or BSN.
• LPN license from Florida and active certification.
• Paramedic or EMT license from Florida and active certification.
• Current Medical Assistant Certification and ongoing maintenance.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (excluded in some primary care sites) in Florida.

Responsibilities

• Answers telephones, routes calls and relays messages.
• Prepares and administers medications to patients as directed by provider.
• Administers immunizations for primary care MA roles as directed.
• Communicates significant changes in patient conditions to clinicians.
• Maintains medical records and completes charting for appointments.
