Job summary

The State of Delaware is seeking a skilled analyst to support Medicaid rate setting, provider enrollment, and service taxonomy maintenance. You will ensure compliance with state and federal requirements, and serve as a liaison among departments and healthcare providers.

Responsibilities include data analysis, report writing, and developing recommendations to improve operations. Telework options and a comprehensive benefits program are offered to eligible employees.

Qualifications

• Experience with conducting studies evaluating operations, programs and procedures.
• Ability to perform descriptive statistics such as mean, median, mode.
• Ability to interpret laws, rules and regulations.
• Experience in narrative report writing.
• Knowledge of study design, data sources and collection methods.
• Ability to make recommendations based on findings.
• Knowledge of inferential statistics (e.g., correlation, t-tests).

Responsibilities

• Interview staff and observe processes to gather data for evaluating services and compliance.
• Analyze data and develop solutions or alternative methods.
• Evaluate operational effectiveness against goals and objectives.
• Provide technical assistance to develop management objectives and controls.
• Study relevant legislation and regulations.
• Recommend new techniques to improve operations and efficiencies.
• Document findings and prepare implementation recommendations.
• May supervise administrative staff and oversee hiring and coaching.
