Job summary

Index Analytics, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Medicaid Data SME to support federal healthcare clients in the Baltimore and Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

The role combines deep expertise in healthcare data, Medicaid policy, and analytics to drive actionable insights and improve program outcomes. The incumbent will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of analysts, data scientists, policy experts, and government stakeholders to develop innovative solutions that enhance healthcare

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Informatics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
• 8+ years of professional experience, including 4+ years working with healthcare data, healthcare IT systems, or healthcare analytics.
• Experience analyzing large, complex healthcare datasets, including Medicaid data and related operational data.
• Experience using SQL, PySpark, or similar data processing tools for Medicaid data (TAF/TAF-like).
• Excellent written and verbal communication for client-facing work and policy discussions.

Responsibilities

• Research best practices and support developing value-added Medicaid/CHIP solutions.
• Perform statistical analyses, modeling, data mining, and data interpretation on Medicaid data.
• Validate documentation of Medicaid data and analytics issues and identify undocumented problems.
• Develop training curricula and contribute analytics content for modules.
• Collaborate with clients and teams to deliver ad hoc data visualizations and reports.
