Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience as a proposal writer.
• 3 years of experience with Medicaid proposals.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products including SharePoint, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
• Exceptional organizational, project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel up to 15%.
• Experience collaborating across departments and organizational levels.
• Understanding of AP style guides and internal style guides.

Responsibilities

• Write proposals varying in length and detail to support strategic, functional, and operational topics across the entire proposal.
• Collaborate with Capture and Proposal Managers, Directors, SMEs to outline and prepare final proposal responses.
• Analyze proposal sections and content development to ensure alignment and cohesion.
• Interview SMEs to gather information for compliant, compelling responses and update resumes and past performances.
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to highlight client solutions and company differentiation.
• Collaborate with graphic designers on proposal graphics and storytelling.
• Participate in color team reviews and proposal meetings through timelines.
• Develop proposal responses aligned with internal quality standards and bid guidance.
• Develop strategies articulating customer needs and win themes.
• Maintain understanding of Aetna Medicaid products and services.
• Support content management and Medicaid Library content development.
