Job summary

CVS Health (Aetna Medicaid) seeks a experienced Proposal Writer to deliver high-quality RFP responses for Medicaid programs. This fully remote role supports a wide geographic US footprint and works with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts to craft compliant, compelling content.

You will develop proposals, lead writing efforts, and ensure adherence to internal standards. A Bachelor's in journalism, writing, English, communications or healthcare policy is preferred, with 5+ years of

Qualifications

• Minimum five years as a proposal writer or equivalent experience.
• At least three years of Medicaid proposal experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products including SharePoint, Word, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint.
• Proven ability to collaborate across departments and levels.

Responsibilities

• Support strategic, functional, and operational topics across the full proposal lifecycle.
• Collaborate with managers, SMEs, and designers to outline final proposal responses.
• Analyze sections and content to ensure cohesive narrative alignment.
• Interview SMEs to gather information for compliant responses and resumes.
• Leverage past proposals and content libraries to draft responses.
• Research data to highlight client solutions and differentiation.
