Job summary

CVS Health (Aetna) seeks an experienced Medicaid Proposal Writer to support high-quality RFP responses from a remote location in the United States. You will collaborate with Capture and Proposal Managers, SMEs, and Designers to craft compelling, compliant narratives and win themes, while maintaining content libraries and bid guidance adherence.

The role emphasizes strong writing, organization, and cross-functional teamwork with knowledge of Medicaid products and AP style guidelines.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of experience as a proposal writer (or equivalent)
• 3 years of experience with Medicaid proposals
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products including SharePoint, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint
• Exceptional organizational, project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to travel up to 15%
• Experience collaborating across departments and organizational levels
• Understanding of AP style guides (APMP Certification preferred)

Responsibilities

• Outline and prepare final proposal responses with managers, directors, and SMEs
• Analyze proposal sections to ensure alignment and cohesive narrative
• Interview SMEs to gather content and develop responses
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to highlight client solutions and differentiation
• Collaborate with graphic designers on proposal visuals
• Participate in color team reviews and proposal meetings
• Develop compliant, high-quality proposal responses adhering to bid guidance
• Create win themes and customer-focused strategies
• Maintain knowledge of Medicaid products and services
• Support content management for Medicaid Content Library
• Engage in team meetings and contribute new ideas
• Build relationships with health plan leaders and SMEs to win and retain business
• Support internal processes and performance measures
