Job summary

Core States Group is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to design and manage mechanical engineering projects from conception to completion within our Architecture and Engineering unit.

You will apply your experience in HVAC, plumbing/piping, refrigeration, fire protection, and fuel systems; coordinating with Site/Civil, Electrical, Structural Engineers, Architects and PMs to produce construction documents that meet client requirements and codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• 5+ years of experience with general building mechanical design production, preferably commercial projects.
• PE License required.
• Revit and MS Office required, AutoCAD a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site visit investigations and generate reports/recommendations.
• Produce design plans, calculations and reports with limited direction.
• Coordinate with subconsultants, provide client interaction support, establish and maintain phase and task level budgets as well as schedule project phases and tasks.
• Schedule production staff and lead them through tasks, coordinate and assist with addendums, RFIs, and change orders.
• Assist in coordinating the work of a multi-disciplined team throughout the design development and contract document phases of a project.
• Other related responsibilities as necessary to fulfill the objectives of this role.
