Job summary

Core States Group seeks a Mechanical Project Engineer to lead mechanical design projects across HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, fire protection, and fuel systems. You will coordinate with Site/Civil, Electrical, Structural, Architects, and Construction Project Managers to produce construction documents aligned with client requirements and codes.

As part of a multi-disciplined firm, you will manage design development, budgets, schedules, and client interactions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• 5+ years of experience with general building mechanical design production, preferably with commercial projects.
• PE License required.
• Revit and MS Office required, AutoCAD a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site visit investigations as well as generate reports/recommendations based on findings.
• Produce design plans, calculations and reports with limited direction.
• Coordinate with subconsultants, provide client interaction support, establish and maintain phase and task level budgets as well as schedule project phases and tasks.
• Schedule production staff and lead them through tasks, coordinate and assist with addendums, RFIs, and change orders.
• Assist in coordinating the work of a multi-disciplined team throughout the design development and contract document phases of a project.
• Other related responsibilities as necessary to fulfill the objectives of this role.
