Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Mechanical Engineer - Refrigeration with 5+ years of industrial refrigeration experience to design, analyze, and optimize NH3/CO2/Freon systems across distribution centers.

In this role you will develop engineering standards, support safety compliance (PSM/RMP), manage capital projects, and provide field engineering support during outages and start-ups at multiple sites nationwide. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• 5 years in industrial refrigeration with NH3 and Freon experience.
• Experience with ammonia (NH3) and Freon refrigeration engineering.
• Strong knowledge of PSM and RMP compliance requirements.
• Experience supporting capital projects including upgrades and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Design, review, and support industrial refrigeration systems using NH3, CO2 and Freon refrigerants.
• Develop and maintain engineering standards, specs and system docs.
• Evaluate system performance and recommend improvements for safety, reliability and efficiency.
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of refrigeration issues.
• Partner with Design and Construction teams to set design standards.
