Job summary

US Foods seeks a Mechanical Engineer - Refrigeration to design, analyze, and support industrial refrigeration across the enterprise. You will work with ammonia, CO2, and Freon systems to ensure safety, reliability, and energy efficiency.

This remote role supports multiple distribution centers in the United States, with travel as needed. The candidate will contribute to capital projects, maintenance strategies, and regulatory compliance while partnering with Facilities, EHS, and operations teams

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in industrial refrigeration.
• Hands-on experience with ammonia and Freon systems.
• Strong knowledge of PSM and RMP compliance.
• Experience with system troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Experience supporting capital projects and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Design, review, and support refrigeration systems.
• Develop and maintain engineering standards and documentation.
• Evaluate performance and recommend safety and efficiency improvements.
• Provide field engineering support during outages and emergencies.
• Coordinate with Design, Construction, Operations, and EHS teams.
