Job summary

RemoteFetch is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer for a fully remote, independent contractor role. You will create and review manufacturable CAD models and engineering drawings, applying GD&T and DFM principles to ensure production readiness.

Ideal candidates have extensive experience with CAD platforms (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Onshape, Inventor, Creo, NX) and familiarity with FreeCAD for interpretation, plus strong documentation capabilities.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in mechanical design and product development.
• Experience taking parts from concept to manufacturing.
• Expert-level proficiency with one or more CAD platforms.
• Knowledge of GD&T and dimensional tolerancing.
• Ability to produce manufacturing-ready technical documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and precision.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D and 3D mechanical models for manufacturing applications.
• Develop professional engineering drawings suitable for production.
