Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Commissioning Engineer for 100% travel to large-scale distribution sites, focusing on Level 1 commissioning of MDR conveyor systems, 24VDC control, safety I/O, and Rockwell/Allen-Bradley platforms.

You will configure, test, and document commissioning results, perform E-stop checks, I/O verifications, and network setup (Ethernet/IP, CANBus). The role requires strong hands-on skills and PLC familiarity for on-site work across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Level 1 commissioning experience with conveyor systems.
• Strong experience with 24VDC MDR conveyor control.
• Familiarity with ECC MDR controls and modular sortation systems.
• Proficiency in I/O checks, including inputs/outputs and field wiring.
• Experience performing E-Stop checks and safety validation.

Responsibilities

• Perform Level 1 commissioning activities for conveyor and material handling systems.
• Configure and validate 24VDC MDR conveyor control systems.
• Commission ECC MDR control systems and modular sortation equipment.
• Conduct detailed I/O checks and safety validations.
• Set up and configure safety I/O modules and Ethernet/IP networks.
