Job summary

KBR is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer / MBSE Lead to drive system engineering for naval aviation survivability and electronic warfare programs. The role emphasizes MBSE modeling, requirement decomposition, and cross-team collaboration across government and industry partners.

Hybrid work model with 75% remote work and located near Patuxent River, MD or King of Prussia, PA; 40 hours per week. Requires active security clearance or eligibility and ability to travel occasionally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field with 12+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience modeling complex hardware/software using MBSE and SysML.
• Ability to lead technical meetings and communicate complex topics clearly.
• Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Lead systems engineering for NAV AIR aircraft survivability and EW programs, including AN/ALE-47.
• Develop, decompose, allocate, trace, and verify system requirements and interfaces.
• Create and maintain MBSE models, architectures, and interface representations.
• Coordinate cybersecurity, configuration management, and integration activities with stakeholders.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring across teams and partners.
• Prepare briefings, trade studies, risk analyses, and action-item responses.
