Job summary

Bryan University is seeking a Master Level HIM Adjunct to teach Healthcare Information Management courses online. This remote, work-from-home role supports students nationwide while maintaining engaging live Zoom sessions and timely feedback.

Candidates should have a Master’s in healthcare-related field, 3 years HIM/coding experience, and a current coding certification (RHIA/RHIT preferred). Prior online teaching experience is a plus and proficiency with Canvas and Zoom is expected.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in healthcare-related field.
• 3 years of HIM, coding or revenue cycle experience.
• Coding certification (CCS, CPC, CCS-P or related).
• RHIA or RHIT preferred.
• Online teaching experience preferred.
• Experience using Canvas and Zoom in a virtual environment.

Responsibilities

• Instruct assigned courses within designated program.
• Host bi-weekly live sessions via Zoom in each course.
• Maintain a flexible schedule with office hours and 1:1 meetings.
• Provide timely feedback on quizzes, tests, and assignments.
• Conduct outreach to engage at-risk students.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and submit final grades.
• Participate in meetings, training and professional development.
