Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Health Information Management or related field from an accredited college.
• CPC, RHIA, or RHIT certification is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience teaching in Tribal communities is preferred.
• Experience with adult learners and distance/online instruction.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and facilitate instruction online in accordance with contract and syllabus.
• Meet all scheduled classes and labs for the full allotted time.
• Use varied teaching methods to reach students with diverse backgrounds.
• Provide course syllabi with objectives, grading criteria, and requirements.
• Assess student mastery and provide feedback to students and coordinators.
• Maintain records per academic affairs and registrar requirements.
• Utillize and adhere to the college's assessment of student learning program.
• Recommend instructional materials to Department Chair and library.
• Schedule hours for planning, advising, and office hours.
• Maintain BMCC admin student management software and MOODLE proficiency.
• Follow procedures for absences, complaints, and dishonesty; collaborate on curriculum refinement.
