Job summary

Sezzle is seeking a Marketing and Communications Intern who excels in a fast-paced fintech environment. You will support campaigns across email, push, SMS, and in-app channels while helping to build content, identify segments, and analyze results to maximize KPIs.

You will collaborate with marketing, sales, and product teams, manage asset workflows, ensure brand and legal compliance, and leverage Braze and Claude AI tools to boost productivity and insights.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic project management skills.
• Basic creative design skill and knowledge in Figma is preferred.
• Experience in copywriting short and engaging messages.
• Experience leveraging data inputs to create segments, design tests, execute reporting and provide insights.
• Database marketing experience is a plus.
• Prior experience with Braze is preferred.
• Experience with email, push notifications, in-app push notifications, MSS, eCommerce or digital marketing is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with Claude or equivalent large language model tools is required; comfortable leveraging AI to enhance productivity, research, and communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day asset production flow including asset & CRM build, QA, approvals, deployment, communication with internal and external stakeholders, and analytics reporting.
• Recommend optimization ideas for future campaigns based on performance reports.
• Support day-to-day operations keeping all marketing initiatives up to date.
• Assist CRM builds within Braze.
• Manage the compliance and legal approval of assets both internally and externally.
• Identify potential project risks and provide mitigation recommendations.
• Maintain and organize project documentation, including meeting notes and schedules.
• Assist client and sales teams with in-app promotional setup and reporting.
• Initiate data pulls and manage analytics for varying campaigns.
