Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH company, seeks a Market Development Manager to cultivate end-user relationships and drive demand in the Eastern market. This field-based role targets contractors, masons, builders, and distributors to influence product selection and growth without commissions.

Based remotely in Eastern PA or NJ, you will partner with regional sales to identify opportunities, demonstrate product value, and expand market presence through disciplined territory management and CRM discipline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent relevant experience considered.
• Experience in B2B sales, contractor development, construction materials, or related industry.
• Ability to translate technical product features into customer value and jobsite benefits.
• Willingness to travel regularly within assigned territory.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with high-potential contractors, masons, builders, and other end users to increase penetration and share of wallet.
• Identify emerging market segments and develop strategies to expand presence.
• Conduct field visits, product demonstrations, and contractor training to build product preference.
• Generate demand by identifying upcoming projects and influencing product selection.
• Collaborate with regional sales teams to target key accounts and hand off opportunities.
• Monitor competitive activity and share insights to improve engagement and differentiation.
• Maintain accurate CRM records of target accounts, opportunities, and outcomes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
