Job summary

Waters Corporation seeks a strategic Market Development Manager for Environmental and Materials Science across the Americas. You will develop and execute a comprehensive business plan spanning instruments, consumables and applications, aligning with region revenue goals.

You will collaborate with global marketing, sales and technical teams to drive campaigns, seminars, webinars and events. Travel ~25% within the Americas; build partnerships with scientists and key opinion leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or environmental/materials science.
• Minimum 5 years experience in marketing, sales or business development.
• Strong understanding of environmental and materials science regulations, industry drivers and testing workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute business plans.
• Excellent communication, project management, and cross-functional leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Own development and execution of the Americas environmental and materials science business plan to achieve revenue and growth targets.
• Analyze market trends, regulations, customer needs, and competitive activity to develop regional strategy.
• Partner with marketing and field sales to implement campaigns, demand generation initiatives and strategic messaging.
• Identify and prioritize key growth opportunities, customer segments, and application areas.
• Support sales with market insights, value propositions, and tools; monitor competitive activities.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration with product, TAM and Wyatt teams, and regulatory affairs.
• Communicate business performance and progress to senior management with insights and recommendations.
• Build partnerships with key scientists and KOLs in the Americas; develop scientific networks.
• Develop presentations for stakeholders and advocate for scientific content.
• Lead Waters at industry conferences and customer events as a thought leader.
