Job summary

Land O'Lakes, Inc. seeks a Market Development Agronomist to coach and influence growers and sellers, driving demand for seed and CPP products through agronomy expertise and services integration.

This remote role requires location within the territory to partner with customers, with ideal coverage in East KS/Garden City KS area. Travel up to 50% will be required, and a company vehicle is provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture or related field with 5 years of industry experience, or 10 years of agronomy experience.
• Advanced degree in agronomy preferred but not required.
• Experience coaching, training, and executing technical agronomic decisions and educating others on products, services, and programs.
• Ability to create working relationships internally and externally.
• Demonstrated success interacting with stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Excellent written, verbal, and formal presentation skills.
• Trustworthy with strong personal commitment.
• Ability to work independently and manage productivity.
• Proficient with MS Office and virtual collaboration tools; CRM software.

Responsibilities

• Coach local owners and sellers using the Advanced Acre strategy to differentiate the system.
• Support revenue growth by combining products, data insights and services to create new markets.
• Partner with SDMs on targeted sales activities and provide technical expertise during calls and visits.
• Deliver technical training on CPP & Seed products and the services platform for identified locations.
• Facilitate virtual agronomy services and delivery via video/digital platforms.
• Provide trials direction and execution for Innovation/Insight in identified markets.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to train sales teams.
• Attend regional and national meetings and assist in planning training materials.
