Job summary

Land O'Lakes, Inc. is seeking a Market Development Agronomist to act as the local agronomy expert, coaching retailers and growers, and driving demand for Advanced Acre solutions.

The role includes technical training, collaboration with product managers, and regional outreach to expand market opportunities. The position requires a strong background in agronomy with leadership experience and the ability to travel up to 50% across the East KS/Garden City region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture or business-related field plus 5 years of industry experience; or an equivalent of 10 years of successful work experience in agronomy
• Advanced degree including MS or PhD in agronomy or closely related field is preferred but not required
• Experience coaching, training, and executing technical agronomic decisions and developing and educating others on products, services, and programs
• Proactive communicator with exceptional written, verbal, and formal presentation skills
• Ability to travel up to 50% within assigned sales area

Responsibilities

• 40% Customer facing: Advanced Acre Execution and Coaching w/Retail Sellers; serves as the technical specialist to differentiate our system
• 40% Non-Customer facing: Partner with WinField United Product Managers to influence product pipeline and positioning
• 20% Other activities: engage in COE trainings, regional meetings, and pre-call preparation
