The position involves developing propulsion and auxiliary system designs, performing calculations, and preparing technical documentation, with travel to support customers up to 10% of the time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Functional understanding of mechanical, thermodynamics, or shipboard systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proficiency with CAD and Microsoft Office applications.
• Must be able to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Performs calculations applying mechanical engineering principles, procedures, and criteria.
• Develops analyses and prepares technical reports and other engineering documentation.
• Develops ship propulsion and auxiliary system calculations and designs and prepares technical purchase specifications for major equipment.
• Supports engineering activities for systems including propulsion, fuel, lubrication, seawater, freshwater, and HVAC systems.
