Job summary

The McHenry Management Group, LLC in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Mid-level Marine Mechanical Engineer (Auxiliary) to support USCG Ship Design Team. You will design, optimize, and integrate marine auxiliary and piping systems, ship machinery, and cargo handling elements, with focus on weight handling and systems integration.

Requires a bachelor’s in Marine or Mechanical Engineering, 3–5 years’ related experience, familiarity with ABS/USN standards, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marine or Mechanical Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• At least 3–5 years of progressive Marine Mechanical experience.
• Experience with design, optimization, and integration of marine auxiliary and piping systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and documentation design for ship systems.
• Develop system documentation and ship specifications.
• Conduct analysis, lead development of technical data packages and reviews.
• Conduct trade studies and ensure compliance with ABS, USN, and industry standards.
