Job summary

MSHS Pacific Power Group seeks a Marine Field Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain MTU engines for diverse marine applications. The role emphasizes hands-on work, sea trials, and documentation, with travel across regions and occasional international assignments.

You will mentor apprentices, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and grow through our Power and Propel U program. A strong mechanical background and MTU experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in high speed marine engine repair.
• Experience with MTU MCS/RCS electronics and Diasys software (preferred).
• MDEC or ADEC or DDEC experience (preferred).
• ECU7, ECU8, ECU9 Software experience (preferred).
• Strong laptop/PC skills for diagnostics and software applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on MTU engines in various marine applications.
• Conduct sea trials and verify engine performance, making necessary adjustments.
• Maintain service records and documentation for operational efficiency.
• Provide guidance and training to apprentice marine technicians.
• Travel within the assigned region and occasionally outside the area, including potential international assignments.
