Job summary

NYS Department of Transportation is seeking a technically skilled Mapping/Photogrammetry professional. The role involves using photogrammetric workstations, LiDAR data processing, and coordinate effort with regional design staff to meet project requirements.

Responsibilities include managing aerial imagery acquisitions with UAS, creating 3D models and orthoimagery, and ensuring project schedules and technical specifications are met.

Qualifications

• Five years of technical experience in mapping or digital photogrammetry.
• Bachelor’s degree with 15 semester credit hours in remote sensing, statistics, spatial analysis, CADD, UAS mapping and aviation, cartography, LiDAR, GIS, surveying, and/or photogrammetry.
• Transcript or list of qualifying courses must be included with your application.

Responsibilities

• Use digital photogrammetric workstations to compile mapping projects, digital terrain, and orthoimagery.
• Review and edit digital photogrammetric mapping and digital terrain to required specifications.
• Coordinate with regional design staff to determine project requirements and schedules.
• Use UAS to acquire aerial imagery and create 3D models, orthoimagery, and point cloud data.
