Job summary

Toast is seeking a Strategic Cuisines Business Development Manager to hire, coach a multilingual team of BDRs driving pipeline in Mandarin and other languages. You will report to the Senior Manager, Strategic Cuisines, and lead a top-of-funnel team that enables Account Executives to close deals across Mandarin-speaking markets.

You’ll build scalable processes, forecast rigor, and partner with Marketing to tailor outreach.

Qualifications

2+ years of sales experience in a closing role with quota attainment.
Proven coaching instinct to develop reps.
Fluent in Mandarin and English; able to coach in Mandarin.
Metrics-driven with strong forecasting and pipeline discipline.
Cultural humility and curiosity about diverse markets.

Responsibilities

Directly manage 6-10 Business Development Representatives and own their productivity.
Coach reps to conduct discovery and qualification in Mandarin for Mandarin-speaking segment.
Build systems and feedback loops to develop every rep, including those selling in other languages.
Run regular operating rhythms: 1:1s, call reviews, pipeline inspection with forecast accuracy.
Partner with Account Executives on clean handoffs and pipeline conversion.
Gather frontline feedback to determine where to invest resources across markets.
Identify opportunities to improve funnel efficiency with an entrepreneurial mindset.
Collaborate with Enablement and Marketing to adapt messaging for each community.
Hire, onboard, and ramp new reps, including coverage for new languages.
Develop team members toward their next role.
