Jobot is seeking an experienced Managing Attorney to lead a new captive office in Texas. This in-house role supports an insurance carrier with first-chair trial responsibilities and team leadership across litigations, budgets, and performance metrics.

Ideal candidates hold a Texas Bar license, JD, and substantial trial experience in insurance defense. The position offers full-time employment with a fully remote setup and excellent benefits.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active Texas Bar license in good standing.
• Significant litigation experience with first-chair trial exposure.
• Experience handling insurance defense or casualty litigation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of attorneys and litigation staff.
• Oversee a docket consisting of auto liability, premises liability, general liability, and bodily injury cases.
• Guide all phases of litigation from pleadings to trial and settlement.
• Mentor attorneys on trial preparation, courtroom strategy, and evidentiary issues.
• Partner with Claims to align litigation strategy and case evaluation.
• Monitor performance metrics, budgets, and staffing levels.
• Ensure compliance with Texas law and carrier guidelines.
