Job summary

Sigma Technologies is seeking a Make Ready Designer to support overhead pole design and joint-use projects for electric distribution. This remote US-based role focuses on make-ready work, pole loading analysis, and creating construction-ready designs in collaboration with utilities.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in make-ready or electric distribution design, CAD proficiency, and a willingness to travel occasionally. A 2-week in-person orientation at Perrysburg, OH may be required.

Qualifications

• Make-ready engineering experience in overhead pole design.
• Experience with NESC, clearance analysis, and pole loading concepts.
• Proficiency with CAD or MicroStation; exposure to DDS, Katapult, O-Calc or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Complete make-ready and overhead pole design work orders to quality, schedule, and budget.
• Review field data, pole information, attachments, and conditions.
• Develop construction-ready make-ready designs including pole transfers and attachments.
