Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an intermediate-level mainframe operations professional for a Raleigh, NC contract role. You will support z/OS consoles, CICS, HOD, PCOM, and Zeke scheduling to ensure stable batch and online processing.

Responsibilities include monitoring schedules, analyzing failed jobs, and coordinating recovery with agencies and teams. Remote-friendly, with benefits eligibility described in the posting.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Zeke scheduling in production environments.
• Production z/OS operations and console experience.
• CICS support and troubleshooting.
• HOD and IBM Personal Communications experience.
• Experience with IBM NetView and System Automation.

Responsibilities

• Support z/OS operational activities and troubleshoot production issues.
• Monitor and administer Zeke scheduling, including jobs, calendars, dependencies and batch execution.
• Analyze failed or delayed batch processes and coordinate recovery activities.
• Support CICS regions, transactions, interfaces and operational troubleshooting.
• Provide expertise with HOD and PCOM, including terminal connectivity and mainframe user access support.
• Perform z/OS console monitoring and respond to system or application alerts.
• Use IBM NetView and IBM System Automation knowledge to support monitoring and automated response.
• Escalate and coordinate incidents with agencies, application teams and Ensono.
• Document recurring issues, recovery procedures and operational requirements.
• Apply knowledge of comparable scheduling products, such as CA or Tivoli Workload Scheduler, where applicable.
