Job summary

Inherent Technologies is seeking a Mainframe System Programmer to install, upgrade and maintain z/OS and related IBM/BMC products. The role requires strong SMPE, RACF, and security knowledge, plus hands-on experience with JES, PARMLIB, USS and coupling facilities.

Additional experience in HCD, IODF workflows and disaster recovery exercises is highly valued. Familiarity with DFSMS storage concepts and programming languages for z/OS such as PL1, COBOL, Assembler, Rexx, Java, node.js, and Python is

Qualifications

• Installation, upgrade and maintenance of z/OS and related IBM/BMC products.
• Sound knowledge in SMPE.
• Experience in RACF and security related products.
• Knowledge of system initialization and tuning.
• Knowledge & experience in SYSPLEX.
• Knowledge & experience in JES, PARMLIB, USS, and Coupling Facility.
• Knowledge in HCD and working with IODFs.
• Experience in Disaster Recovery exercises.
• Knowledge of storage concepts (DFSMS is expected).
• Knowledge of PL1, COBOL, Assembler, Rexx, Java for z/OS, node.js, Python for z/OS.
